Mr.J.Subramanian (VP - Engineering)

Topic: The history and future of evolution in Communications, Computing and Networking - A Perspective to the Student Community
Profile of the Speaker:

Graduated from CIT in the year 1985 in Electronics and Communications engineering; 25 years of industry experience; Started career in Uptron Communications and worked on VHF/UHF radio and paging systems R&D and Manufacturing for 2 years; Joined CDOT as Member Technical Staff and worked in their switching R&D for close to 8 years. Focused on R&D and software solutions for digital rural automatic exchange, point to multi point and wireless local loop systems. Involved in field trials in India and abroad. Worked with Harris Communications (USA) for 2 years on their digital switching system and developed features for adapting to the Indian market and interfaced with TEC for certification testing. Worked with Lucent Technologies for 5 years and responsible for the R&D for GSM product lines in India focused on software development. Currently working with Aricent for the last 8 years focused on communications products, services, and engineering management.

Experience in R&D, development, testing, building and managing large teams across locations, focused in the areas of wireless and wireline technologies, embedded systems, and communication applications.

2.Vimal Kumar Maria (Director − Technology)

14 years of experience in IP/MPLS and Optical Networking designing High Speed Routing, Broadband and Carrier Ethernet Equipment

22 years of experience in industry in designing and delivering communication software solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers in the network infrastructure space

4.Gridharan V.G.

Gridharan V.G. has obtained Bachelor of Engineering degree from CIT,in the year of 1984, in EEE. He went to IIT, Mumbai as Research Associate and later joined Communication Group of CMC Limited, Mumbai,where he worked on automating the trunk call exchange project of DoT for about 4 years. Through Wipro Systems he worked on defense simulation projects in real−time operating system. In USA, he was with networking group of Sun Microsystems and with HP focusing on security networking tools. In USA, he started a company providing voice portal services. After 11 years of stint in USA, returned to India to take up VP of R&D Software Engineering position at MRO−TEK Limited, where data communication products are designed and developed for Indian and overseas market. Currently heading networking and wireless solutions company, Yugae Technologies Pvt. Ltd. based in Bangalore, providing connectivity solutions for enterprises.
